Main Activities

ERRE LAB supports Customers in the development of the best products in the domains of HMI and User experience. We follow the “human centered” approach that enables us to position the user in the center of the whole project in order to create products that have a real added value when it comes to HMI and User experience.
“Design Thinking” is a method we use to develop innovative products that are both usable and aesthetically appealing.
Thanks to a multidisciplinary team, we are able to support the development of services, the creation of digital applications and the generation of disruptive concepts, among which:

  • Mobile and tablet applications
  • Medical devices interfaces
  • Cluster, Head Unit and ADAS systems interfaces for automotive applications
  • HMI for production machinery applications
  • Web applications and corporate intranet interfaces
  • B2B applications
  • Chat-bot, conversational systems and virtual assistants
  • AV, VA and mixed reality systems
  • Systems and applications for domotics
  • “Customer Service” applications and chatbots
  • Smart objects: “wearable devices” and other intelligent connected systems
  • Service design and digital products for Industry 4.0 applications

Digital Strategy

The Customer Experience is aiming to define cohesion between business goals and user’s needs, with the goal of establishing a clear project vision. At ERRE LAB we start a project by exploring the product or service’s context of use, the reference market and sector trends: various techniques of qualitative, quantitative and technological scouting activities are performed during this phase.

Our attention focuses on the user: we enquire his or her needs in deepness, therefore learning all the information needed to develop usable, appealing and desirable products.
From research to strategy: we use the collected data to define the project targets, to establish the design criteria and the product evaluation metrics.

  • Heuristic evaluations
  • Card sorting
  • Eye-tracking tests
  • Qualitative interviews
  • Focus group
  • Contextual inquiry
  • Benchmarking
  • Technology scouting
  • Trend analysis
  • Competitive analysis

Service Design

At ERRE LAB we design the whole service in order to create an experience where users can seamlessly go from one touchpoint to another in a fluid manner. Our team can develop the whole “Customer experience”, not only a single interaction, with the scope of generating omnichannel experiences.

  • Customer journey
  • Experience mapping
  • Service blueprints
  • Business model canvas
  • Workshops
  • Stakeholders map
  • Empathy map
  • Storyboarding
  • Affinity diagramming
  • Use cases
  • Scenario

Concept Generation

We create new concepts by applying the “Design Thinking” tools to the insights acquired during the exploration phase. Although our team is able to work in full autonomy, we prefer to design projects while involving all the stakeholders in order to receive the broadest vision possible.

  • Brainstorming
  • Concept generation
  • Sketching
  • Design sprint workshop
  • Co-design workshop

UX & UI Design (User Experience & User Interface)

At ERRE LAB we design products to offer effective, fluid and unforgettable experiences for consumers and employees. Starting from the initial concept, we develop the product in every smallest detail, passing from wireframes to prototypes of various grades of fidelity. Usability is the baseline from where we set off in order to create the user interface, interaction and visual design of our applications.

  • High and low fidelity wireframe
  • Information architecture and sitemaps
  • Task flows
  • Rapid prototyping
  • User stories
  • Interaction design
  • User interface
  • UI pattern
  • Visual design

Usability Tests and Prototypes

From sketch to interactive prototype, up to the MVP launch (Minimum Viable Product), our motto is to continue product testing during the whole design phase and to implement continuous improvements in order to evaluate its usability. Our activities/expertise include:

  • Interactive prototypes
  • Usability tests
  • Expert testing
  • Heuristic evaluations
  • Eye tracking
  • A/b test
  • Specifications writing
  • Programming
